Well, what a great day ... woke a tad earlier perhaps due to continually fighting with a bed 3 inches shorter than me. Then, must have been confused as agreed to go for a "healthy walk" with Thorpy, down to the local Marina .... something we missed the night before. Rewarded with a lovely Panini for breakfast, which saved me having to beg Dave to stop within the first hour to feed my churning stomach.
On our way at 10am ish, and shortly hit the best parts of the amazing D8 highway, that runs down the Western side of Croatia, winding its way in and out of the coves and bays. Now I have ridden a load of highways in my day, but this must rank one of the best ever ... perfect surface, little traffic, views to die for, and no cops ... apart from one with a camera, which I think I got away with.
Some quick clips, trust me, they don't do the road justice..
A second coffee stop was taken at the creatively named "Beach bar", which provided some respite from the hot sun...
Lunch was a petrol station panini again, before taking in more mountain roads to our final destination, Split.

Oh Croatia looks fantastic. a bit like Greece in a way. Beautiful. Hopefully I will get a chance to visit one day!
