It was the right thing to do

Poor old Thorpy woke to an aching shoulder and it was clear that to subject him to the stress of more off-road, was just too cruel.  He suggested he took a direct route and met us at the hotel, but we felt he should not ride alone, so I stepped up to the mark and offered to ride with him.

However, that did give us the luxury of an extra half hour in which to grab some breakfast.  So stoked up on Paninni's and Ibuprofen, we headed out 30 mins after Dave and Neil.   An hour down the road, and I thought, how many KTM's with a yellow bag and a portly rider, were there in Greece ?

Dave and Neil had done a country route and popped out onto the main road at the exact time we were passing..... coincidence, maybe.

We rode together for about an hour, when suddenly we were back to two.  Me and Thorpy had an easy day, following the coast on a wide and empty well paved highway.  Finally hitting Zante, we were just about to leave the city, and there was that old KTM again ... second coincidence. Scary !

And then they were gone !

Not much really to say about the day except that it was the right decision - Dave & Neil had a great ride around some gravel tracks high in the mountains, and we got to the hotel at 4pm, allowing some shut-eye before the evenings compulsary drinking session.

As a final note ... went for a meal after, and being brave, me and Rob ordered "Cod Fish, with garlic mash".   Felt it would fill our hungry stomachs .....

Not at all what we expected .... more beer then,.

We agreed to regroup for the next days ride, which would involve the Turkey border crossing.  Bed at a comparativly benign 11pm.
