An easy day, finally

We had a rare late start, as it was to be a short day.  The Saffron Hotel had a great breakfast, to which we all indulged.  I went out in search of a Car Wash, and found loads ... they just didn't do bikes.  Managed to fuel the bikes up in the shadow of the hotel, so ready for the day...

Headed out of the city, and soon had some beautiful roads to play on.  Thorpy had rejoined the fold today, as there was an assurance that no off road would be involved .... to the best of our navigators abilities.

We were all prepared for more border formalities, but I guess the Slovak & Austrian governments put their heads together and decided to save the costs of some Border Guards, and did away with the border.  I normally snap a pic of the Post but we shot past old buildings so fast, the GoPro didn't have time to boot up.

Lunch was taken in an Austrian cafe, and boy did we see an increase in the costs of a coffee ...

In fairness, the Austrian roads were probably one of the best we have been on.  Entering the Czech Republic was a similar non-event.

By now myself and Dave had got a bit of a spurt on, with Dave leading. ... right into a housing estate !  We had a conflab and I must have plotted the hotel accurately at some point, so another 3km on, and we found it.

It had a courtyard which was great for the bikes, and I even blagged a hose pipe for the two of us to give the bikes a quick wash.  Neil & Thorpy trundled in about 15 mins behind us, also having paid a visit to the housing estate.
Unfortunately, with time on our hands, the sun shining, and a helpful waitress, we hit the Pilsner Urquell early.

Followed by a visit to a bar in the square ....

... and ended the night with a botty burner.
